The spotlight was on teaching excellence during Day 3 of Solido National High School’s School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) 2024, with a remarkable Demo Teaching Showcase: Integrating Technology and Innovative Pedagogy as the day’s highlight.
The day began with a creative and light-hearted attendance check, where attendees shared hugot lines inspired by clauses they picked at random. This unique icebreaker fostered a fun and collaborative atmosphere, setting the tone for another productive day. A touching food for thought session followed, providing teachers with inspiration and a moment of reflection, before a comprehensive review of Day 2 highlights brought everyone up to speed.
The centerpiece of the day was the Demo Teaching Showcase, where the spotlight was on integrating technology and innovative pedagogical strategies into core subjects: English, Science and Mathematics.
Ma’am Mercy L. Prado set the bar high with her English demonstration, showcasing dynamic activities that utilized multimedia tools to enhance reading comprehension and language proficiency. Ma’am Mary Rose J. Noble captivated the audience with her Science lesson, integrating simulations to make abstract concepts tangible and engaging. While Sir Rawynn R. Del Rosario brought Mathematics to life with gamified learning strategies and interactive digital tools, demonstrating how technology can simplify complex equations and foster deeper understanding.
Each demonstration was met with enthusiastic applause and commendation from fellow educators, who praised the presenters’ innovative approaches and exceptional delivery. The lessons highlighted the importance of creativity, student engagement and the effective use of technology in today’s classrooms.
Day 3 of INSET 2024 concluded with educators feeling inspired and empowered to integrate these innovative practices into their own classrooms. The school continues to uphold its commitment to professional growth and academic excellence, making this training a significant milestone in its journey toward transformative education.
